Abstract
Hypertrophic scars have been known to man since the beginning of existence of trauma. Hypertrophic scar is a great problem facing the plastic surgeons as the patient rarely becomes satisfied about the results especially if thisr scar is situated in exposed areas as the face. Therefore,scar revision is described as the plastic surgeon nighnnare.We tried to use Nd:YAG laser and intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection on 50 patients with hypertrophic scars’ in order to identiff the ben lfit gained from each treatment modality in comparison with the other. Each scar was divided into two,halves; one half was subjected to lase r therapy and the other half received injectiontherapy.
