Abstract
Haemorrhnidal disease is a common conplainta mong patients and much of time passed without accurate assessment of the new modalities of treatment.I-Iaemorrhoidal disease is a benign complaint, although severe I pain was complained of by patients after any operation for treatment.This study aimed at comparing the conventional method of Milligan-Morgan with the new technique of Longo for treatment of third and fourth degree haemorrhoidal disease.Our study included fourty patients, twenty of them were treated by the stapler haemorrhoidectomy and the ,other twenty patients were treated by the conventional method after randomized study.Pre operative evaluation included complete history taking,clinical examination, routine laboratory investigations and proctoscopic evaluation.
