Abstract
The in vitro cultivation of human cells and tissues foms an integral part of the diagnostic work. Peripheral blood lymphocyte is the most easily obtained human tissue and it will produce a large quantity of good quality mitosis. This has permitted the widespread investigation of the chromosomal basis of many clinical syndromes and cytogenitc alterations induced by a variety of chemical and physical agents.Ciprofloxacin was introduced as a new fluroquinolone antibacterial agent which is widely used in antimicrobial therapy. It inhibits the bacterial gyrase enzyme and also the functionally related eukaryotic topoisomerase-I1,which may resulted in genotoxic effects.
