Abstract
Egg quality of laying hens is influenced by several factors, including hen’s age, strain, nutrition, Urn’s of oviposition housing system and stress. The present study is focused m die effect of time of oviposition, housing system and stress on egg quality characteristics and the cholesterol content. Experiments reported herein were conducted to: firstly, investigate the effect of time of oviposition on egg weight, egg quality characteristics and egg yolk cholesterol, secondly, compare the effect of housing systems, cages and litter floor systems, and thirdly, study the different effects of induced stress by administration of dexamethasone on egg performance, egg quality characteristics, hematological traits and some serum components.
