Abstract
The spectrum and prevalence of atherogenic risk factors in young adults with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus have been recently studied. Cardiovascular risk factors was observed in patients with co-morbid obesity , hypertension , dyslipidemia , poor glycemic control and smoking, more common in males. Despite the high prevalence of risk factors , only a small minority of patients received antihypertensive or lipid lowering treatment
