Abstract
This study included 20 patients with ?-Thalassemia major attending the pediatric hematology clinic. Children’s Hospital, Ain Shams University.
That study aim to evaluate new and early methods for diagnosis of myocardial iron overload in patents with ?-Thalassemia major.
All patients are subjected to the complete history and full examination. The following investigations were done:
A. Laboratory
1. Complete blood count (Hb)
2. Serum ferritin
3. Liver functions
4. Hepatitis markers
