This study aims to assess the association between iron deficiency anemia and Helicobacter pylori infection among children.
Sixty children were included in this study there were subdivided into two group:
Group (A): comprised 30 anemic children (17 male and 13 female) their age ranged between (3-9) of mean (5)±S.D.
Group (B): comprised 30 normal age and sex matched as controls.
Children were subjected to thorough clinical history, growth parameters measurments (weight, height, aand body mass index) and examination.
The following laboratory investigations: CBC, serum iron, TIBC, serum ferritin, and Helicobacter pylori antibodies (IgG and IgA) measured by ELISA test.
