Abstract In the present work it was intended to assess two modalities of inguinal incisions (S shaped and bipedicle incision). Two main groups (I and II) were the material, each of 20 patients. Group I included patients with metastases in the inguinal lymph nodes and group II involved patients with sarcoma of the upper part of the thigh. All patients were subjected to careful history, meticulous clinical examination and investigations that included, laboratory analysis, radiological investigations (plain x-ray chest, ultrasonography abdomen, femoral arteriography when indicated, computerized axial tomography of the abdomen, lymphoscintigraphy of, both lower limbs, Photoplethysmo- . graphy to the’ skin of the groin, intra-operative use of intravenousflourescin and histopathological studies. |
