Abstract

Klebsiella pneumonia was isolated from different samples obtained from farm animals in an incidence of 16.07% the incidence of isolation from cows , buffaloes , sheep ,goats and camels were 20.00% , 18.57% , 12.80% , 12.63% and 10.91% , respectively . Klebsiella pneumonia subsp. Pneumonia , Klebsiella pneumonia subsp. Ozaenae and Klebsiella pneumonia subsp. Rhinoscleromatis were identified with percentages of 72.34% , 22.34% and 5.32%, respectively
Of total isolates (94). SCS-PAGE analysis of CPSs of Klebsiella pneumonia sub pieces revealed
10-13 bands of molecular weights , which ranged from 15.52 KDA to 106.29 KDA. Mice immunized with CPSs of Klebsiella pneumonia sub pieces revealed highest immune response (measured by ELISA and IHA test) 14 days post 1st dose of immunization . the sensitivity of ELISA using CPSs extracted from Klebsiella pneumonia sub pieces pneumonia , Klebsiella pneumonia sub pieces ozaenae and Klebsiella pneumonia sub pieces . Rhinoscleromatis was 85.11% ,79.79% and 81.91% respectively. While the specificity of the test was 93.48% , 92.06% and 94.30% respectively.
