Abstract
The study comprised of a total 157 subjects, Ninety seven of them are pediatric cancer patients and the other 60 subjects are apparently healthy individuals which considered as the control group for our series.
The ninety seven pediatric patients are categorized into two group according to the hemoglobin level: group 1 the anemic group comprised of 63 patients having hemoglobin level less than 10 gm/dl, group 2 the non anemic group comprized of 34 patients having hemoglobin level more than 10 gm/dl
All Sera from cancer patients and control group were examined for parvovirus B19 -IgG, B19 -IgM antibodies. Polymerase Chain Reaction was done on all serum samples and bone marrow aspirates.
