Abstract

This work was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of some teed additives (lysine amino acid, dried yeast and manganese) at varying level1 on growth performance, carcass characteristics and some blood constituents of growing Muscovy ducks.

For this purpose a total of one hundred and twenty one day-old Muscovy ducklings were used. They were purchased from El-Magmouaa El-Frensya Company in Sadat City. The ducklings were randomly allocated into 11 equal groups (1 lducklings per groups of mixed sex. Group 1 was fed on the basal diet, Muscovy ducklings of group 2 were fed on basal diet supplemented with 0.2 % lysine, those of group 3 were fed on basal diet supplemented with 0.4 % lysine, those of group 4 were fed on basal diet supplemented with both of 0.2 % lysine and 1 % dried yeast, those of group 5 were fed on basal diet supplemented with both of 0.2 % lysine and 2 % dried yeast, those of group 6 were fed on basal diet supplemented with both of 0.4 % lysine and 1 % dried veast, those of group 7 were fed on basal diet supplemented with 0.4 % Ivsine and 2 % dried yeast, those of group 8 were fed as group 4 plus 25 mg manganese / kg diet, those of group 9 were fed as group 4 plus 50 mg Run / kg diet, those of group 10 were fed as group 7 plus 25 mg Run / kg diet and group 1 1 were fed as group 7 plus 50 mg Run / kg diet.
