Abstract

The estimation of postmortem interval is one of the most important problems for forensic medicine and law as well as it is of great importance in both criminal and civil cases. So accurate estimation of the postmortem interval in an unwitnessed death may be important for forensic perspective. Meanwhile, the determination of the precise time of death continues to be difficult task for the forensic pathologist .A variety of procedures, for the estimation of postmortem interval have been described based on the changes in blood parameters after death ;including the analysis of postmortem blood for various biochemical (Natrium, potassium, calcium, substances, chloride, urea, creatinine , and glocouose) also erythrocytes water content, PH of cardiac blood and also morphological changes in blood cells. With a majority of victims discovered within the first 48 hours, it is critically important to be able to determine time of death quickly, and with accuracy and precision. Technical advances in molecular biology, have propelled the analysis of DNA into routine usage not only in clinical laboratories but also in crime ones. The objective of the present study is evaluation of changes in DNA by time in rats’ liver The study was carried out on 20 male healthy albino rats. Each rat weighing about 150-250 gm. They were kept in the metal cage under standard conditions
