Abstract Infections have been associated with arthritis during their course and as a post-infectious reaction. Reactive arthritis follows an infection outside the joint, particularly the gastrointestinal or genitourinary tract. Among viral infections that can cause arthritis parvovirus B19 and others (e.g. Epstein-Barr virus). This work was conducted to study the role of parvovirus B19 in children with reactive arthritis and its effect on the clinical manifestations and laboratory findings in those children. We also investigated the incidence of EBV in children with reactive arthritis. |
