Abstract

Streptomyces produce a wide range of secondary metabolites, including antibiotics , many of which are of clinical importance in the treatment of infectious diseases or diseases caused by the proliferation of malignant cells .Development of substans that exerts an effect on an enzyme which inactivates antibiotics is considered to be a useful approach for control of antibiotic – resistant strains. The present study dealwith the isolation of some streptomyces isolates which included 300 isolates obtained from different regions in Egypt, and screend for B-lactamase inhibitors production using Iodometric assay on agar, which gave two isolates having such product, these two isolates were number six and 29 which were identified using the classical methods for identification . We have analyzed 19 randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) primers against two Streptomyces stains 9Streptomyces exfoliates and Streptomyces caluligerus) as reference stains and 4 taxonomically undefined starins ( isolate six , nine, 29 and Strepomyces sp) The derdrogram and the similarity matrix showed 94.4%as similarity between isolate number six and S.calavuuligerus in addition to 96.9%for isolat number 29 and S.exfoliates . Afragment of 580 bp, for production B- lactamase inhibitor protein (BLIP)was isolated and cloned.
