Abstract
Accurate clinical assessment of circulatory status is desirable in critically ill and ICU patients and those undergoing surgery, especially cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgeries. The clinically and commercially available cardiac output monitors are going to be discussed regarding their physical principals, their advantages and disadvantages. Conclusion will be drawn from comparing different cardiac output monitoring techniques.
