Abstract Two hundred samples,40 each, of raw milk, small scale yoghurt , large scale yoghurt,small scale ice cream , and large scale ice cream were collected from supermarkets, dairy shops and stress vendors in El-Minoufya governorate for microbiological analysis Microbiological examination of examined raw milk samples revealed that the mean count value of aerobic plate count (APC) was 2.10 x 107 ± 0.84x107. In ice cream samples,the mean aerobic count for large scale and small scale samples were 1.10 x 105± 0.39 X 105 and 1.00 x 107 ± 0.38 x 107 respectively Califorms could be detected in 100,22,5,60,27.5 and 75% from examined raw milk large scale yoghurt , small scale yoghurt , large scale ice cream and small scale ice cream samples, respectively. The Coliform contents (MPN/ml or g) of raw milk samples were 6.40 x 106 ± 5.70 x 106. . While, in large scale and small scale yoghurt samples were 3.00x102 ± 1.30 x 102 and 1.70 x 105± 0.75 x 105 , respectively E.coli could be isolated from 30,0,2.5,2.5 and 10% of examined raw milk , large scale yoghurt , small scale yoghurt, large scale ice cream and small scale ice cream, respectively . Seriological typing of eleven strains of E.coli proved that they belonged to four serotypes: O128, O119,O26 and O25 |
