Abstract
The aim of this work is/ to study the effect of oral sodiumk Selenite administration on some blood parameters and neuromuscular performance in diabetic rats.
Phrenic nerve-diaphragm- preparations be excised for estimation of the following parameters:-br>1-Height of muscle contraction at the onset and after 30 min.
activity, by both direct and indirect stimulation.
2-Glucose uptake by the muscle during 30 min activity and after 30 min recovery.
The following parameters were measured:-
1-Fasting blood glucose (mg/dl).
2-Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and KG value.
3-Serum cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL & HDL (mg/dl).
The experiments were done on 48 male white albino rats.
The rats were divided into 2 main groups 1-Non diabetic (control) group :

*Non diabetic group.
