Abstract
MTX is a main member in the antifolates group of th eantimetabolites, antineoplastic chemotherapeutics. It is widely used in treating many malignant diseases alone and in combination therapy with other chemotherapeutics as well as severe psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis and granulomatosis. It is also used as an immunosuppressive agent and in organ transplantation.
