Abstract
The last ten years have supplied the medical world with extra ordinary imaging techniques such as ultrasound scanning/ which provides high-resolution sectional images containing precise morphological information. Fine needle aspiration biopsy is a precise invasive procedure which, almost without risk, can provide minute tissue samples for further examination either bacteriological or histopathological.
Guided fine needle aspiration biopsy is safe, highly accurate and relatively inexpensive diagnostic procedure.
It is also used as therapeutic method in drainage of abscesses.
