Abstract
Lake Qaron is a unique inland lake . located in the western desert in the lowest part of al-faiyom department.about 80 km the south west of cairo between longitude 30 25 and 3050 E and latitude 29 25 and 29 25 and 29 30 . it`s area is 53.000 feddans . the maximum depth is about 8.55 m with an average 4.2 m. Drtainage water is discharged to the lake via two main drains namely El-Batts and El-Ewadi frains in addation to twelve small drains.
