The annual decrease in the catch of Mugil seheli in Suez Bay and also using of this fish by private cultures, make this study to be done to investigate the reproductive biology and physiological characters of Mugil seheli. This study has been done in four directions: 1- The biological study of reproduction including, length at first sexual maturity, sex ratio, gonadosomatic index, fecundity and egg dimeter. 1.a. Length at first sexual maturity according to femal of Mugil seheli was 13.85 cm in total length, while male was 12.95 cm in total length. 1.b. According to the sex ratio, it was found that the frequency of males of Mugil seheli was the lowest through all the year. The ratio was 1 : 3.5 male and female respectively.
