Abstract
Numerous conflicting investigations were done dealing with the effect of Depo-Provera (long acting contraceptive injection) on different organs, especially ”The Food and Drug Administration of USA” have refused to authorize the use of it as a contraceptive in USA. This study was carried out to demonstrate the histological and histochemical changes occurring in the liver following injection of Depo-Provera. In the present study 64 female albino rats with a body weight 140-200 gm, and aged two to four months were used.
