Abstract
Affection of the skin and sgnovial membrane have been studied, in 60 c&es, as well as muscle biopsy in two cases of polymositis. Patients were suffering from different connective tissuedi orders (Collagen diseases). The material of this wrk comprised the following diseases; - 30 patients were suffering from rheumatoid arthritis ranging in age from (15 - 58) years. 19 were females and 11 were males. - 18 patients were suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus ranging in a e from (15 - 56) years. 15 were females and 3 were maleem - 8 patients were suffering from ecleroderma, ranging in age from (15 - 55) years. 5 were females and 3 were males. - 4 patients were suffering from polydermatomyositis, ranging in age from (8 - 16) years. They were all females. - The study also included 20 normal control of similar age and sex ta the group of diseases investigated. All these control per sons had no symptoms or signs suggestive of rheumatological disorders.
