Abstract This study was conducted to detect the degree of genetic abnormalities produced by benzene, one of the genotoxicants. The study was undertaken on 32 individuals, 22 benzene exposed workers employed in benzene filling station, and 10 control of almost similar ages and sex. Both groups were interviewed for proper medical history and blood samples were collected from them for haematological and cytogenetic study. Cytogenetic studies have included solid staining, G-banding and<sister chromatid exchange techniques. |
