Abstract
Adult ma.le vl~hite mice and rats were used i n t h i s study. They were i n f e c t e d with 100 larv~eo f Trichinell~ls piralis p e r os.Compressed diaphragm preparations were exnmined f o r d e t e c t -i n g t ime of n r r i v a l of l~.rvaet o muscles , f o r studying th.e development of muscle lsrv~e rmd for the study of morphology of in~ture capsules. Xemntoxylin md eosin ste.ined muscle s e c t i o n s vere exn.mined f o r the development nnd morphology of muncle capsules md the time of onset of c~lcific~tioi nn muscle c y s t s . Samples from d i f f e r e n t mu~cles were digested separatly f o r ~determening the i n t e n s i t yof i n f e c t i o n i n indiv-!, idu8l muscles. Digestion of the whole carcass wa.s used f o r study of inten~ity of infection/gm. body weight.
