Abstract This study was conducted in an attempt to demonstrate the clinical applications of ultrasound Doppler techniques in the assessment of the portal venous system in different pathological conditions.Our work was done on 100 patients,20 patients as control and 80 patients with clinical and/or sonographic suspicion of pathological affection of the portal venous system were studied.Patecy of the portal venous system was requested in all cases.All patients were subjected to full clinical history and examination and laboratory investigations. Ultrasound examination including real time, Duplex and CCDS was done for all cases. |
