Abstract
This study was carried out on the experimental farm or the Department of Animal Production, Facuity of Agriculture, Tanta University at Kafr El-Sheikh, to study the possibility of increase efficiency of non protein nitrogen (NPN) by usi,ng some feed additives. This research was carried out to study the possibility of using bentonite to improve the utilization of ul-ea. The ability of bentonite to bind ammonia ion from the rumen fluid and to release it back later is particularly important in the utilization of NPN, thus it increase the time presence of ammonia in the rumen and improve the utilization of ammonia by rumen micro-organisms to formation of microbial protein which using in different metabolism process. On the other hand, it reduce the rise of rumenal arnmonia concentration which cause the animal toxicity. In this study urea replaced up to 40% from total N without any abnormal effects on the animals, thus may reduce the natural sources of protein which high price and increase the urea percentage which cheapest, this reduce the feed cost and increase the economical efficiency.
