Abstract
Coronary thrombol ysisrev 01 utioni zed the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and benefits of this therapy are today evident. Many thr ombol ytic agents have been isolated and several of them are commercially a vailable or currently under eval uati on. pro-Uroki nase obtai ned by gentechno1 ogi cal methods from Escheri chiacoli C rscu-PA3 has been 1 ess ext ensively studied than other drugs. There were 114 patients with acute myocardial infarction erlrolled to this study. All of them were treated with 80 mg recombi nant pro-uroki nase C single chain uroki nase type pl asmi nogen acti vator ; Sar up1 ase intr avenousl y given as 20 mg bolus f 01 lowed by 60 mg infusion for 60 min. Coronary angiograms were taken at 6 to 12 hours from the beginning of treatment by a11 except one patient.
