Abstract
A review of literature was made concerning the history of phytodermatities , incidence , types and the most common plants and plant products causing contact dermatities. Also patch test was reviewed and its scope in the diagnosis of phytodermatities has been mentioned. In the present study 18 plant were collected and identified in egypt, known to cause contact dermatitied, all of them were subjected for botanical identifecation by consulting the rosery garden at algizira, and by the help of departement of botany faculty of agriculture at alexandria university.
