Abstract
A f i e l d experiment was carried out Ln Kafr El-Sheikh Faculty of Agriculture fam t o study, the effect of nitrogcn levels ajld sources on both the uptake of the available micromtrients (mwganese, iron, zinc ad eopper)from their s o i l native sources, and thc y i e l d of rice md cotton plmts. The obtained results could be summarized in Lh.e following: a) .---RI,U ice p-l-a- nts I : 1- The y i e l d of grains increased significantly by increasing I!-l~vsls up to 60 kg, Xjfed. from either urea or ainmonium sulph~et. 2- Ths yield of straw significantly increased by increas- Lng N-levels up t o 80 kg. N/fed, f r o m eLther the urea or m~ilionsu~l~ph at e. 3- Xttrogen content and manganese in rice plats significantly increased by increasing IT-levels up t o 110 kg. N/f ed, from both two sources. While Iron zbc sfgnificantly increased t o the level of 100 kg. B/fed. 4- Copper is the only element showed a sipificant decrease Ln rice plant under the excessive addition of nitrogen nitrogen
