Abstract
Specimens of d i f f e r e n t plants showing t y p i c a l symptoms of powdery mildew were collected from d i f f e r e n t l o c a l i t i e s at K a f r El-Sheikh, Gharbia, Behera and Alexmdria Governorates during 1981 - 1984 seasons . The study comprised 31 host plants belonging to 12 d i f f e r e n t families . Based on the d i s t i n c t i v e c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s of the conidial stage (type of conidiphore, number and character of conidia, conidial inclusions and mode of germinat ion)
