Abstract
The ma5n objec$$ves of %he present work were to study %he sptiman periods for hamesting rice ad wheat cmps by using small hwvsating maehhes and the costs fnvolved _fsl hamestbg each cmp compared w i t h marmud harvesting method, fwo di f ferent amdl harvet~h g machhe~n amed Olympf a and @avdli were used h the case of rnech~bmicd hamesthg while s i c k l e s were used in manual harvesting of these crops. The cmps were harvested according t o randomized complete block design. The mab variable factors 5x1 mechmllcal ha~vestfng method were the speed of the machhe and the height of cut of each crop .
