This work ms designed to study: (1) Some non gene t i c factors a f f e c t i n g i n i t i a l milk yield, 305-day and t o t a l milk yield i.e. p a r i t y , year and season of celving and days open, (2) gene t i c parameters ( r e p e a t a b i l i t y and h e r i t a b i l i t y ) of i n i t i a l milk yield, 305-day and t o t a l milk yield, the phenotypic and genetic correlation between the d i f f e r e n t traits were also investigated, ( 3 ) estimate, separately f a c t o r s f o r prediciting 305-day milk yield from part-lactation records f o r each season of calving and f o r a l l records, and (4) calculate s i r e evaluation using two s e t s , s e t 1 consisted of estimates of 305-day milk yield a f t e r adjusted f o r parity,yeer and season of calving, using the constant obteined from l e a s t squs r e s s o l u t i o n s. |
