There is a necessity for strong relationship and permanent cooperation between Regional Agricdtural Research Stations and Agricutlurd Extension in governorates in order to carry out their roles, as two sub - syste ms, for achieuing the agricultural develpgment in the region . Such relationship or the trial. to strengthen the linkage between agricultural research and extension systems is faced by several determinates, if it is acconpl - ished only at the central level. Few studies were Conducted to analyze the relationshq between regional agricultural research stations and agricultural extension systems in governorates. Therefore this study was conducted to narrow the research gap in tkis conce’m and suggest the posikdities to strengthen the linkage between those two systems. The Objectives -of -The Study : The study objectives could be sum madzed as follows : 1- To recoqni ze the emg types of linkages between regional agricultural researeh stations and agricultural extension in governorates. 2- To recognize the efficiency af some activities to strengthen the relationship between regional research stations and agdculturdl extension at regional level from both respondents pint of view . 3- To determine the reasons of relationship disturIxnce between region& resch stations and agricultural extension hm bath respondents point of view.
