Abstract Lumbosacral lesions in irfants and children may be isolated to the spine itself or may be a part of generalized congenital or systemic disorders. The plain X-ray is the traditional first test for assessing pediatric spine problems . A bony defect in the posterior arch of the spine creates an acoustic window and permits sonographc investigation of the spine and the spinal cord .During this study, 28 infants and children with suspected lesions in the lumbosacr al region were examined rediologically to evaluate the hagnostic criteria and types of lesions in this region. |
