Abstract This laboratory study was done on two different types of composite inlays ( Prisma AP-H & Clearfil CR) and two different types of posterior composites (Clearfil photoposterior &Polofil Molar). These posterior composites were heat treated in hot air oven at 200°C for 10 minutes. The following properties were tested. 1 -Degree of conversion. 2 -Glass transition temperature . 3 -Diametral tensile strength . 4 -Abrasive wear. 1-Degree of conversion: Rectangular specimens ( 20 mm. length. 1.5 mm. thickness and 4 mm. Width) were prepared & divided into four main groups ( group for each material) & each one was divided into three subgroups. These specimens were stored in artificial saliva for 24 hours. 3 months. and 6 months at room temperature. After storage the specimens were ground into fine powder using clean stainless steel grinder. The degree of conversion of the tested materials were measured using Infrared Spectrometer-Perkin Elmer 1430. ll-Glass transition temperature:-’ The specimens were prepared. divided. stored. and grinded as mentioned above. |
