Abstract
In this work 40 adult male albino rats were used, 8 were used as control and 32 were used as experimental animals injected viith alloxan to induce experimental didetes, These injected animals were sacrificed afGer variable periods, Mon.phological studies showed that afterfive days from induction of diabetes both regeneratiad degeneration started In som islets of Langerhaa, Regeneration was more prominent, With advanced periods , degenerated islets increased while regenerated ones decreased, At last, some islets were found to be completely degenerated leaving sonre debris, few others showed regeneration while some remained intact.
