Abstract
The objective of t h i s study were divided into two win parts : 1- evaluation for forage yield and some agronomic t r a i t s of seed l o c a l l o t s of berseem clover (Trif. alex. IJ.) .2- estimation of combining a b i l i t y i n r e l a t i o n t o polycross t e s t i n berseem clover . The naterials of t h i s study comprised of 289 seed samples (ecotypes) of Egyptian clover which axe randomly selected fzon farmer seed l o t s a t nine environmentally diverse locations (provinces) i n Zgypt. The number of sauples collected were 9, 7, 6, 5, 8, 82, 67, 55 and 50 from Keno, sohw, ii ssuit e , d l ’llinie, Bani-Swife , Yonof ia , El-Gharbia , Damiet ta and Kafr El-Sheikh areas, ~espectively . The study was c a r r i e d out at the Sakha Experiment Stztion, Ministry of Agriculture, s t a r t e d from season 1971/1972 t o season 1976/1977
