Abstract The main objective of thie work waa to study the effect of irrigation regimes, cultivars and nitrogen levels on growth, yield and ita components, quality of fibres and seeds. Also, water consumptive use and water use efficiency as affected by the above mentioned factors as well as flax coefficient K were also studied . Field work and laboratory tests were oarried out at Sakha Agricultuml Research Station ring 1981/82 and 1982/83 seasons. The selected areas were studied to determine the soil bulk denaity, field capacity and permanent wilting point. ’PW4 commercial flax cultivars Gim 5 and Giea 6 (Linum usitatissimum I.) was planted on Hovember 17, 1981 and on November 19, 1982. All cultural practices except factors under study were carried out as common practices in the area . The experimentel design was split-split plot with/’ i four replicates, The main plots were randomly assigned i I i to three irrigation regimes, the aub-plots to the fZax / ; cultivars and sub-sub plots to the four nitrogen levela. |
