Abstract THE U%JECTI!h3 OF THE PRESENT UbRK MERE TO STUDY THE PLOWING : I - Effect of three different tillage systems cn soil physical properhes and yield components of sunflower in clay soil. 2- Effect of plou&ing forward speed and ploughing depth on the following : (Effective field capacity, Field efficiency, Rate of soil dsturbed volume, net drawabr pull. tractive er’ficiency, draft per unit of soil area, fuel requirements, enera requirements, plough_lng quality) 3- The suitable plouphlng system whch reduces the cost of energy The experiments were classified to laboratory and field experiments. All experiments were conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Kafr El-Sheikh, Tanta University during 1992 and 1993 growing seasons. All ploughs types operated at three dfferent values of forward speed, and two hfferent ploughmg depths, (0-1 0) and (0-20) crn the following tillage systems whch were used in the present are study : +& moldboard ploughmg * Chisel ploughmg one pass * Rotary ploughrng. |
