Abstract

Tlis research concerned by effects of hypoxia (15%02) and hyperoxia (40 % and 70% 02) on the growth of the clck embryo and measurements of concentratio11 of catecholamine (epinephrine, norepineplu-he, doparnine and serotonin), maxhnwn activity of Acetylcholinesterase enzyme and LDH, MDH, GDH, PFK, AST and ALT enzymes and protein. ** Fertilized egg fi-om Do& 4 click (Egyptian hybrid) used in
ths study were obtained from ”Faywn poultry farm-Azab for chick production, Odd eggs were discarded. The eggs were incubated at the oxygen concentration 2 1 % (nomoxia), a group of egg was weighted before and after incubation. Shell surface was mathematically calculated as presented in Fig. (1). During incubation the investigation were carried out at the days 15, 16, 17 and 18 on the whole brain of chick embryo. The brain was blotted d~y after removing froin the embryo in a physiological salin for birds (Sturkie, 1965) and weight measured with electronic precisio~z balance (Precisa 300M). ESJe of ltypoxia (15%02) and Iryperoxia (40% and 70% O2 on the weight of chick embryo and brain: At 15 days of incubation the total embryo weight was 60.41%, 124.42% and 81.96% of the ilonnal control (incubated at 21% 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70% 02. The brain weight of embryo at 15 days of incubation was 77.67%, 126.53% and 82.25% of the ~y-mal control (incubated at 2 1 % 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70% 02. At 16 days of incubation the total embsyo weight was 65.1 I%, 129.17% and 80.07% of the nonnal control (incubated at 21% 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70%02). The brain weight of embryo at 16 days of incubation was 76.86 %, 129% and 81.62% of the izonnal control (incubated at 21 % 02) respectively at 15%, 40 % and 70% 02. At 17 days of incubation the total einbsyo weight was 64.96%, 129.93% and 83.94 % of the nonnal control (incubated at 21% 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70% 02. The brain weight of embryo at 17 days of incubation was 78.98%, 1 29.34% and 86.28% of the normal coiltrol (incubated at 21% 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70% 02. At 18 days of incubation the total embryo weight was 58.09%, 128.56% and 80.87% of the normal control (incubated at 21% 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70% 02. The brain weight of einbiyo at 18 days of incubation was 79.16%, 126.78% and 85.75% of the normal control (incubated at 2 1 % 02) respectively at 15%, 40% and 70% 02. Effect of itypoxia (15% 02) and Ityperoxia (40% and 70% 02) 012 the Vimx and Kill of Acetylcltoliitesterase : The acetyicholinesterase VmadIOn ratio of brain at 15, 16, 17 and 18 days of incubation was [(90.8%, 135.4% and 6 1.2%), (79.9%, 126.4% and 69.3%), (82.3%, 130.3% and 96.9%) and (84.9%, 134.9% and 99.8%) of the nornal control (incubated at 21% 02) respectively at 15%02, 40% and 70% 02.
