Abstract The etiology of left ventricular dysfunction has important therapeuiic and prognostic implications as patients with impaired left ventricular filnction due to C.A.D. represent the major group of patients who demonstrate improved survival with coronary bypass surgery. The aim of our study is to differentiate between dilated C.M. due to C.A.D. from idiopathic dilated C.M. We assessed 30 patients with dilated C.M. whether it is ischemic or idiopathic who were referred to our department beacause of dyspilea, chest. pain and /or pulmonary oedema by different non invasive modalities(electrocardiogram, echocardiogra~n and dipyridamole thallium - 201 scintigraphy) in an attempt to detect the most accurate non invasive test for the differentiation of kcheinic from no11 ischemic dilated C.M. by comparing the results of these tests with coronary angiography. |
