Abstract
The source of female reproductive capacity, the ovary, is the product of a complex histogenesis. and residence of multipotential cellular elements with intricate biochemical functions. Commensurate with such complexity, is the variety of malignant neoplasms which arise in the ovary as a result of the ubiquitious process of oncogenesis .Although seventh in incidence, ovarian cancer ranks fourth in female cancer mortality, only trailing lung, breast.and gastrointestinal cancer At present, ovarian cancer claims half the deaths, due to female genital maligancy. and although mortality rates for other gynecologic cancers are slowly increasing1 V
