Abstract The intrinsic factors include acute infectious diseases, such as typhoid. dysentry, cholera. malaria.influenza. pneumonia and measles. The death of the foetuB may be due to fever. bacterial toxins, direct transmission of the disease to the embryo, oxygen deficiency or decidual bleeding. Other intrinsic maternal factors are endometritis, systemic maternal diseases such as diabetes, anaemia, endocrine disorders,uterine pathology and genic malfonnations of the ovum. |
