Abstract
This study was performed at Royal Hallamshire Hospital,Shef f ield University, U .K. To investigate the inf luence of argon laser txeatment in diabetic retinopathy, we conducted both prospective and retrospective studies. The prospective study comprised 440 eyes of 304 patients who are followed-up for 18-months, while the retrospective study included 483 eyes of 324 patients who were followed-up for 15-years. The following arc the techniques which were used in di f f erent stages : PRP for Pre-PDR and PDR, Focal photocoagulation for FM and Grid photocoagulation for DM.
