Abstract The aim of this study was to design a small tractor for farms in Egypt and replace it instead of 2-3 draught animal in traction operations. After the tractor and design , the coast of traction operation using the small tractor compared with draught animals were estimated and it is noticed that the tractor should be reduced costs from 2.00 LE to 0.53 LE daily and released area of 2 to 3 million feddans. Producing fodder for drought animals and can thus make land available for food production . Further mire, the study was intended to specify the traction charactertics of small tractor.The conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows :1)The traction force produced by the small tractor is mainly affected by the tractive weight, traction surface , the values of traction the coefficient of friction. With increasing the co-efficient of friction from 0.40 to 0.8, traction force increased from 72 to 150 kgs. |
