Abstract
The wide range of usage of axial machines is well known, They possess the advantages of width and straightness of flow channels, ease of finish of its rotors, and susceptibility to multi-staging without entanglement into amaze of tortuous passages.The net result is a good overall efficiency. However these machines suffer from the limitation of loading and many authorities seemed to think that any encroachment on the domain of centrifugal machines is deleterious.
