Abstract This Thesis will present Annawawi’s Forty Hadith with four different translations. The first is a machine translation (MT) done by SYSTRAN. The other three are human translations (HTs). An analysis of the machine translated text will be followed. It will focus on the problems SYSTRAN faces in dealing with the source language (SL) input and in producing the target language (TL) output. The objective of this thesis is to assert that MT could not replace till now the human translator, it could only help him. It asserts the necessity of human translator’s interference in editing the machine translated texts and avoiding using such texts without any amendments. |
