Abstract The studied area lies at the western side of the River Nile, SW of Giza city, between Latitudes 29° 49’ & 29° 52’ N and Longitudes 31° 14’ & 31° 17’ E, with an area about 15 Km² . It extends from the River Nile in the east to the El - Moheet drain Tell El - Qalaa, Tell El - Fakhri and Tell El - Nawa. The goal of this dissertation is to apply different geoelectrical and ground penetrating radar techniques for archaeological investigations. However, particular attention is given to study the overall subsurface hydrogeological setting of the studied area and evaluating its effect on both the exposed as well as the probable buried archaeological remains. |
