Abstract This study was carried out in the rabbitry of the project productive improvements of rabbits”, Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura university. This project aimed to improve the productivity of rabbits by incorporating in their diets some untraditional agriculture by-products, wich produced by great amounts in Dakhlia governorate. The clover hay was replaced by corn stalks in the dites by 33.3, 66.7 or 100% wich represented 10,20,30 of the complete pelleted diet, respectively. The lvel of replacement was 0,10,20 and 30% without cel-con supplementation for each level. Eighty new Zealand white rabbits at 6 weeks of age were individually housed in galvanized wire cages in order to determine the individual live weight and feed intake. At 12 weeks of age, digestibility trial was carried out for five days. However, at 13 weeks of age, five individuals were slaughtered to study carcass and offal traits. |
